WELCOME
AND WHAT THIS CLASS IS ALL ABOUT
- Instructor is Elder
Donald R.
Snow of the England London Mission, Hyde Park Family History Centre
(snowd@math.byu.edu)
- These notes with
active Internet links are posted on the Utah Valley
PAF Users Group website http://uvpafug.org
under Class
Outlines , Don's
Listings , and are linked on the Hyde Park
Family History Centre website http://www.hydeparkfhc.org under Events.
Many other class notes
and outlines for family history are on both sites also.
- This class will give active
links to 25 websites that are very helpful for English family history
research. Clicking on the link will take you to that website.
- This list is in categories
with two listed twice, namely http://www.familysearch.org and http://www.google.com
, but many others could be shown in more
than one category.
- Narrowing down the list of websites to 30 is like having
to live within a budge - there are lots of others that I would like
to have included.
- Asterisks ** means the
site is commercial, i.e. to use it completely you must
subscribe or pay, but frequently you can still use the index for free.

might be helpful to you in your family history research and see what kinds
of things are there.

from the website shown under Maps and Gazetteers. Which counties is it most
common in? Which ethnicity?
